Shillong, Dec. 30 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has issued a stern condemnation regarding the tragic demise of Anjel Chakma, a 24-year-old postgraduate student from Tripura, who succumbed to injuries following a brutal racial assault in Dehradun.

Describing the incident as both "heartbreaking and unacceptable," Sangma emphasized that racial violence has no place in a civilized society. He asserted that citizens from the Northeast are integral to the Indian fabric and called for an end to the normalization of such hate crimes.
