Gangtok, Feb. 4 -- Chief Minister and SKM Party President Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) on Tuesday described February 4 as a defining chapter in Sikkim's political history, stating that the day symbolises the triumph of a people-led revolution that reshaped the state's destiny.
Addressing party workers and supporters on the occasion of the 14th Foundation Day of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), the Chief Minister recalled the beginnings of the movement, which he said started as a small but courageous spark ignited by the "Golay Khema" revolutionaries. That spark, he noted, gradually evolved into a powerful mass movement that ended an oppressive system and restored governance based on the will of the people.
