New Delhi, Dec. 5 -- The Union Minister for Law & Justice, Communications, Electronics & IT of India, Ravi Shankar Prasad had announced in the Lok Sabha session yesterday that the government has taken a firm decision to provide 4G spectrum to BSNL and MTNL so that they can become technologically advanced.

He was quoted saying, "We are determined to make Digital India stronger, more professional and consumer-centric so that it can work towards the development of the nation."

He had also mentioned that the government is committed to working at its best to enhance the optical fiber responsible for the BharatNet project.
