India, Sept. 22 -- It was a special day for ZeniMax Media - the parent company of Bethesda Softworks yesterday.

And the reason is that tech giant Microsoft on Monday announced its plans to acquire ZeniMax Media, which is considered as one of the largest, privately-held game developers and publishers in the world. Under the terms of the agreement, Microsoft will acquire ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion in cash.
