Yen Bai, April 2 -- The northern mountainous province of Yen Bai aims to complete the eradication of temporary and dilapidated homes by September this year. To date, several localities have already started construction of new homes for residents and are expected to complete the programme ahead of schedule.

Tram Tau, a mountainous district in the western part of Yen Bai province with a population of 120,000, is predominantly home to the Hmong ethnic group, which accounts for over 79%. It is one of the poorest and most disadvantaged districts in the country.
