Tokyo, March 17 -- A total of 159 Vietnamese students, accounting for more than half of the 305 international students, were honoured at the 2025 graduation ceremony for international students studying in Japan under the Asahi Newspaper Scholarship Programme on March 16. Vietnamese students achieved remarkable successes, excelling in various categories. Seven out of 22 students passed the N1 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test - the highest level - while 16 out of 34 students received the special award. Notably, some Vietnamese students were recognised for outstanding achievements in all three award categories.
