Hanoi, Feb. 9 -- Vietnamese embassies in Mexico, Egypt and Austria recently convened overseas Vietnamese for the annual "Xuan Que Huong" (Homeland Spring) gatherings, a Lunar New Year (Tet) tradition fostering their ties to the homeland.
In his speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Van Hai expressed pride in Vietnam's great and comprehensive achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
According to him, the year 2025 marked major political and historical milestones, including the 80th anniversary of the nation's founding and the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
