London, May 19 -- The Vietnamese Association in the UK (VAUK) convened its 9th Congress for the 2025-2029 term on May 18, reaffirming its mission to promote unity and sustainable development, and elevate the prestige of the Vietnamese community living there. The congress reviewed the 2018-2024 term, a period marked by challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic and internal leadership changes. Despite these hurdles, the VAUK sustained its flagship events such as Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, and held community football tournaments.
