Dien Bien, March 26 -- Drug crime and other related issues in the eight border provinces of Vietnam and Laos were under control in 2024, but several hotspots remained, heard a conference held in Vietnam's northern province of Dien Bien on March 26. The event, aimed at strengthening collaboration in drug prevention and control, brought together representatives from four Vietnamese provinces - Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Son La, and Dien Bien - and four Lao localities - Houaphanh, Xieng Khouang, Luang Prabang, and Phongsaly.
