Hanoi, Dec. 4 -- Vietnam consistently supports and creates favourable conditions for the operations of foreign non-governmental organisations (NGOs), helping to foster friendship and cooperation between Vietnamese people and the international community while mobilising resources for national poverty reduction and sustainable development, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has said.

He made the remarks at the 5th International Conference on Vietnam-Foreign NGO and Partner Cooperation for Prosperity and Sustainable Development, held in Hanoi on December 4, which brought together more than 500 delegates representing ministries, agencies, localities, diplomatic missions, international organisations, foreign NGOs and the business sector.
