Hanoi, June 1 -- Vietnam recorded 7,853 traffic accidents nationwide from December 15 - May 14, resulting in 4,328 deaths and 5,307 injuries, a major decline from the previous year, according to Chief of the Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee Tran Huu Minh.
Data from the Ministry of Public Security's Traffic Police Department, the Vietnam Maritime and Waterway Administration, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) showed that crashes plummeted 25.17%, deaths dipped 5.5%, and injuries fell 34.64% compared to the same stretch last year.
Road accidents, the bulk of the total, numbered 7,781, with 4,277 deaths and 5,292 injuries, reflecting declines of 25.31%, 5.56%, and 34.72%, respectively. Railway accidents fell ...
