Hanoi, Oct. 20 -- Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to further strengthen its traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Hungary, its first comprehensive partner in Central and Eastern Europe, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed.

Speaking at his talks with Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Kover Laszlo following an official welcome ceremony in Hanoi on October 20, Chairman Man underlined the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He expressed Vietnam's deep gratitude for Hungary's valuable support during its struggle for national independence and reunification, as well as in the country's current process of construction and development.
