Hanoi, Dec. 23 -- The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced that the national football team has climbed three places to 107th in the world and 19th in Asia in the latest FIFA rankings released on December 22.
Notably, Vietnam's national team recorded the biggest leap in this ranking update.
Compared to the previous rankings, Vietnam's position has improved markedly, reflecting the team's positive results in recent matches. In particular, the 2-0 victory over Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers earned Vietnam valuable additional points in FIFA's ranking calculations.
