Hanoi, April 9 -- A total of 39 Vietnamese citizens detained in Myanmar for breaching immigration regulations were brought home on April 9, in line with the direction from the Vietnamese Government. The repatriation was co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam's diplomatic missions in Myanmar and Thailand, and relevant domestic, Myanmar and Thai authorities. These individuals are the first among a larger group of Vietnamese nationals awaiting repatriation from Myawaddy, Myanmar.
