Dong Thap, Jan. 20 -- Vietnam, on January 20, received more than 160 citizens handed over by Cambodian authorities at the Dinh Ba International Border Gate in the southern province of Dong Thap.
The returnees came from 27 cities and provinces, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Can Tho, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Bac Ninh, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, and Ninh Binh.
Preliminary investigations showed that the majority showed signs of illegal border crossings or unauthorised employment in Cambodia. Cambodian authorities had detained them before handing them over to Vietnamese border guards.
After completing necessary procedures, the border guard station imposed administrative penalties on those involved in illegal entry or exit. ...
