Hanoi, Sept. 16 -- Vietnam Railways will begin selling 330,000 train tickets from September 20 for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, the company has announced.
To meet the sharp rise in travel demand during the Tet holiday, the company will operate 55 passenger trains per day with the total of more than 800 carriages in service.
On the North-South route, seven pairs of Thong Nhat trains - SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12, and SE23/SE24 - will run daily, along with two additional pairs - TN3/4 and TN5/6 - between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
