Hanoi (VNA), Dec. 3 -- Vietnam hopes that the UN Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by Da'esh/Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (UNITAD) will complete its investigation activities in Iraq soon, stated Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN.

Addressing an UN Security Council (UNSC) discussion on December 2 on the UNITAD operations in the past six months, Ambassador Quy lauded the performance of the UNITAD in investigation and evidence collection activities so far despite difficulties from COVID-19.
