Vientiane, Dec. 7 -- In a year marked by significant milestones for both nations, the Vietnam Film Week in Laos has served as a meaningful cultural bridge, according to Do Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema under the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Speaking at the closing ceremony on December 6 in Vientiane, he said that through the films, the organisers hoped to offer the Lao people vivid and authentic portrayals of Vietnam, as well as solidarity and compassion that the two nations deeply share and cherish.
