Hanoi, July 7 -- A press conference was held in Hanoi on July 7 to announce the State President's decision on amnesty for the second round in 2025, on the occasion of the upcoming 80th National Day (September 2, 1945-2025). Earlier, in the first round on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2025), the State President granted special amnesty to over 8,000 prisoners ahead of their scheduled release.
