Hanoi, Dec. 6 -- Although banking profits are expected to grow slower in Q4/2022 and in the first half of 2023, experts still have an optimistic outlook on bank stocks in the short term.

ACB Securities said the recent declines of the securities market have moved bank stocks to an 'attractive zone'. Banks were trading at a P/E multiple of 7.1 and P/B of 1.3 in late November, equivalent to the lows in March 2020.

These figures are 38.1% and 29.6%, respectively, lower than the historical averages of the period between 2010 and 2022. As such, bank stocks appear to be a winning bet for long-term investor s looking to get ahead of the market.
