Hanoi, Feb. 5 -- A representative from the Ministry of Public Security on February 5 provided an update on traffic safety and order during the freshly ended Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, as well as on efforts to combat cybercrime.
During the nine-day holiday, traffic safety showed remarkable improvement, with accidents down significantly across all three key indicators and over two-digit decreases logged for the first time, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, Deputy Chief of Office and Spokesperson for the ministry, tolf the Government's regular press conference.
Compared to the Tet break in 2024, the numbers of accidents, deaths and injured people rsepectively decreased by 258 (or 36.69%), 128 (37.61%), and 232 (38.34%), statistics show.
