Hanoi, Dec. 30 -- Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Do Van Chien, Head of the Organising Committee for the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's first general election to the NA, chaired a meeting in Hanoi on December 30 to finalise preparations for the commemoration, scheduled to take place on January 6, 2026. Addressing the meeting, Chien stressed that all preparatory work must be carried out with urgency and solemnity.
