Vientiane, Nov. 3 -- The 2025 Thatluang Festival, considered the most important cultural and religious festival in Laos, is underway in Vientiane capital. The opening ceremony on November 1 was attended by Lao Deputy Prime Minister Kikeo Khaykhamphithoun, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam, along with many ambassadors, charges d'affaires, and representatives of diplomatic missions, and international organisations in Laos. In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Khaykhamphithoun said Thatluang Festival is a long-standing and cherished tradition that reflects reverence for the Buddha and the unity of the Lao people.
