Bangkok, June 29 -- Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra on June 28 evening submitted the list of her new cabinet members to the King for endorsement.

Under the so-called "Paetongtarn 1/2" cabinet, PM Paetongtarn will also hold the position of Minister of Culture, while Deputy PM Phumtham Wechayachai will relinquish his role as Defence Minister to take over the Ministry of Interior. The post of Defence Minister remains vacant, with General Natthaphon Nakphanich will serve as acting minister while continuing his role as Deputy Defence Minister.

Jatuporn Buruspat, permanent secretary at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, will be appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce.
