Hanoi, April 23 -- Ministerial-level import tariff talks between Thailand and the US scheduled for this week have been postponed, the Thai government's spokesman Jirayu Houngsub said.

Houngsub stressed that the negotiation schedule has been adjusted. Although Houngsub did not give a reason for the postponement of the negotiation plan scheduled for April 23, he said that Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira, head of the Thai negotiation delegation, will announce more details on April 22.

Pichai also did not travel to Seattle city of the US last week to meet with American businessmen as previously announced.
