Bangkok, April 9 -- Thailand is closely coordinating with Malaysia to deliver humanitarian assistance to Myanmar following a devastating earthquake that struck the country on March 28.
Thai Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa said that he and his Malaysian counterpart, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, have jointly led a humanitarian mission to Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, to assess urgent needs in areas affected by the disaster.
Minister Maris emphasised that immediate priorities include enhanced medical support, temporary shelters, water purifiers, sanitation items and and essential medical supplies to prevent disease outbreaks.
