Hanoi, Sept. 1 -- State President Luong Cuong's attendance at a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the world's victory over fascism underscores Vietnam's responsible voice and support for global efforts toward peace, security, and development, said Permanent Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Vu.
Speaking to the press ahead of President Cuong's working visit to China from September 2 - 4, Vu stressed that this will be the President's first trip to China in his new capacity as the head of state. The visit coincides with the 75th founding anniversary of Vietnam - China diplomatic ties and the Year of Vietnam - China Humanistic Exchange.
