Hanoi, April 17 -- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported on April 17 that a vessel capsized off the coast of Occidental Mindoro province in the Philippines' western part, leaving at least four dead and seven others missing.
According to a PCG statement, the incident occurred on April 15 when the MV Hong Hai 16, carrying 25 crew members, was transporting 2,000 litres of lubricant oil and 30,000 litres of diesel. Authorities are currently implementing measures to prevent a potential oil spill.
During the ongoing search and rescue operation on April 17, divers recovered two additional bodies, bringing the confirmed death toll to four.
