Hanoi, Feb. 26 -- Traffic accidents and fatalities have seen a notable decline in the first two months of 2025, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.

Data from the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam Maritime Administration, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam revealed a sharp reduction in incidents across the country.

From January 15 to February 14, there were 1,616 traffic accidents nationwide, resulting in 882 deaths and 1,131 injuries, down by 824 (33.77%), 177 (16.71%), and 789 (41.09%) year-on-year respectively.

The sharpest decrease was seen on the roads, with 1,596 accidents, 868 fatalities, and 1,127 injuries recorded. This represented a reduction of 828 accidents ...
