Hanoi, Oct. 14 -- Samsung Vietnam on October 14 donated 10 billion VND (over 379,000 USD) to help residents in flood-hit provinces overcome the consequences of recent storms, responding to the appeal of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee. Of the total, 5 billion VND will be transferred to the VFF Central Committee for distribution to affected localities, while the remaining amount will be presented directly to the VFF Committees of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces, each receiving 2.5 billion VND.
