Hanoi, Sept. 20 -- The Russian Ministry of Defence announced that the joint military exercise with Laos - Laros 2025 - has commenced in the Southeast Asian country and will run until September 25.

The drill is part of activities marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The exercises are held under the motto "Shoulder to Shoulder in the Fight for Peace and Security", symbolising the strengthening of military cooperation between the two countries.
