Hai Phong, March 12 -- Construction on the initial section of the Ring Road No.2 project in the northern port city of Hai Phong kicked off on March 11.

The 11-km Tan Vu-Hung Dao-Bui Vien route runs through Hai An, Duong Kinh and Kien An districts. It has a total investment of more than 7 trillion VND ( over 274.67 million USD).

As part of the project, a motorway section from provincial road No.353 to Hung Dao ward, a bridge crossing Lach Tray River, and a flyover crossing Bui Vien intersection will take shape.

Once completed, the Ring Road No.2 project will help enhance transportation capacity, shortening the travel time from the Hai Phong port cluster to other northern localities. Additionally, it will facilitate urban expansion and p...
