Hanoi, Dec. 16 -- The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,141 VND/USD on December 16, down 3 VND from the previous day. With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,398 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,884 VND/USD. At 8:20, the buying and selling rates at major commercial banks saw decreases. Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 26,118 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,398 VND/USD, both down 3 VND from December 15. BIDV cut the buying rate by 11 VND and the selling rate by 3 VND to 26,110 VND and 26,398 VND respectively./.
