Hanoi, Oct. 1 -- Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) announced on October 1 that it has temporarily suspended four international passenger trains (MR1/MR2 between Gia Lam and China's Nam Ninh) and 21 domestic passenger services due to flooding and landslides. On the western line from Hanoi to Lao Cai, several sections remain submerged or affected by slope collapses. Railway units are working urgently to clear the tracks. As a result, passenger trains SP8, SP3, and SP4 on the Hanoi-Lao Cai route remain suspended on October 1. VNR has directly informed passengers of the cancellations via SMS, the Zalo messaging app, social media platforms, and its official website.
