Quang Tri, Oct. 14 -- The Kim Ngan Forest Protection Station under the Quang Tri provincial Sub-department of Forest Protection has received two endangered brown hornbills from a local resident to transfer them to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park for care and eventual release into the wild.
The birds had earlier flown into the home of Ho Va Li, a resident of Ha Lec village in Kim Ngan commune. Realising that they might be a rare species, he promptly informed the authorities and voluntarily handed them over in accordance with regulations.
