Phu Yen, May 23 -- Nearly 3,000 fishing vessels in the south central coastal province of Phu Yen have been registered on the national fisheries database system (VNfishbase) as of May 2025, with all vessels outfitted with markings that align with regulatory standards. Among these, 681 vessels are 15 metres in length or more. Of this number, 677 have been equipped with vessel monitoring systems (VMS), achieving a compliance rate of over 99%. The remainder is currently inactive due to damage or being docked ashore.
