Hanoi, March 4 -- As temperatures rose with the onset of summer, the Philippines' Department of Energy (DOE) on March 3 reminded the public to adopt energy efficiency measures to manage electricity consumption and ensure the stability of the country's power supply.

The summer months of March, April, and May are characterised by higher energy demand, primarily driven by the increased use of cooling appliances such as air conditioners, electric fans, and refrigerators.

To help maintain a stable and reliable energy supply, the DOE encouraged all consumers, including households, businesses, and government institutions to refrain from or reschedule high-energy-consuming activities during peak hours when electricity demand is at its highest....
