Hanoi, Dec. 4 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has dismissed more than 9,000 rogue personnel for misconduct, criminal activities, and drug-related offenses, as part of its nearly 10-year-long intensified internal cleansing programme aimed at restoring public trust and enforcing accountability within the force.

Data from the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management released on December 3 showed that from July 2016 to November 26, 2025, a total of 32,698 police personnel were found guilty of various administrative offenses. Of these, 9,027 were dismissed from the service. Up to 1,037 of those dismissed were linked to illegal drug cases or tested positive for drug use.
