Hanoi, Feb. 3 -- Vietnamese communities in the US and Germany marked the Lunar New Year - the Year of the Horse with warm and vibrant community celebrations, helping preserve national traditions while strengthening bonds between overseas Vietnamese and their host societies.
In New York, the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations and the Consulate General of Vietnam hosted the "Community Tet - Homeland Spring 2026" programme on January 31 on Roosevelt Island. Despite the winter cold, the event drew a large attendance of overseas Vietnamese as well as American and international friends.
