Hanoi, Feb. 6 -- As many as 3,637 businesses in the capital city of Hanoi resumed operations in January, marking a substantial increase of 44% as compared to the previous month, data from the municipal Statistics Office showed.

New business registrations saw a 24.3% decline, with 2,045 new enterprises receiving certificates. The total registered capital for the new establishments dropped by 53.4% to 13.8 trillion VND (546.1 million USD).

There were 12,700 businesses temporarily suspending operations, up 21.4%, while 533 companies dissolved completely, representing an 8.9% increase. On a positive note, the city maintained a 100% rate of online business registration processing, ensuring quality and timeliness.
