Hanoi, Feb. 14 -- February 14 or the 27th day of the last lunar month was recorded as the busiest day of the pre-Lunar New Year (Tet) period at Noi Bai International Airport.

According to the airport authority, the gateway handled 674 take-offs and landings, serving 116,276 passengers on the day.

International traffic remained high, with nearly 50,000 passengers travelling through the airport.

Despite the sharp increase in passenger volume, the airport said operations remain smooth thanks to the expanded infrastructure of the T2 international terminal and the application of modern technologies, enabling service units across the operation chain to ensure seamless passenger journeys.
