Dong Thap, Oct. 1 -- Ngo Chi Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, has been appointed Secretary of the Dong Thap provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 tenure. The decision was announced on October 1 at the opening of the first provincial Party Congress, following the Mekong Delta province's merger with Tien Giang province. The new provincial Party Committee comprises 53 members, with 16 in its Standing Board. Four deputy secretaries are Nguyen Hai Tram, Chau Thi My Phuong, Tran Tri Quang, and Phan Van Thang.
