Nghe An, March 19 -- A determined push by the central province of Nghe An and border guards is bringing new and sturdy homes to 27 remote border communes, offering a lifeline to families long mired in poverty.

More than just shelter, these houses are sparking hope and economic ambition among residents.

Last year, the Nhon Mai border guard station, in collaboration with various partners, constructed six homes for struggling households in Mai Son commune, according to Chairwoman of the communal People's Committee Vi Thi Huong. The effort not only reinforces the revered legacy of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" but also cements enduring bond between the army and community, and contributes to a more robust people's border defence system.
