Hanoi, Oct. 24 -- The launch of Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) is bringing a breath of fresh air to Vietnam's aviation industry, offering travelers more choices and boosting competition as tourism continues its strong recovery.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in the first nine months of 2025, Vietnamese airlines carried an estimated 43.7 million passengers, up 8.2% from the same period last year. Domestic flights served 29 million passengers, an increase of 7.6%. Tourist routes to popular destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Quy Nhon have maintained seat occupancy rates above 85%, showing strong travel demand and room for further growth.
