Hanoi, Aug. 12 -- The National Assembly (NA)'s Standing Committee discussed revisions to the Law on amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on supervisory activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at its 48th session on August 12. The event was chaired by Vice NA Chairman Tran Quang Phuong. Presenting the key points of the revised legislation, Chairman of the Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision Duong Thanh Binh said the document had undergone a comprehensive revision, now structured into five chapters with 44 articles, 47 fewer than the current law. The revision includes the removal of 55 articles, retention and amendment of 36, and the addition of eight new ones.
