Hanoi, March 24 -- A variety of activities for overseas Vietnamese (OVs) will take place in the second quarter of 2025, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (SCOVA) during a press briefing on March 24. At the event, SCOVA Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Dong announced that a ceremony will be held in Hanoi on March 29 to launch the annual programme honouring the mother tongue and a competition to identify ambassadors of the Vietnamese language among OV communities. The launch will be in-person, with live connections to Vietnamese diplomatic missions worldwide.
