Hanoi, June 8 -- Myanmar expects about 3 million tonnes of rice and broken rice will be exported in the 2025-2026 fiscal year as the country seeks to access key markets like China, said Chairman of the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) U Ye Min Aung. The Department of Agriculture under the Myanmar Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation has invited companies wishing to apply for registration to export rice and broken rice to China to submit expressions of interest (EOI). The companies are required to comply with the sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) agreements signed between Myanmar and China.
