Lai Chau, April 26 -- Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Pham The Tung on April 24 led a delegation to Nam Xe commune, Phong Tho district, the northwestern province of Lai Chau, to present funding in support of the locality's programme to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses for ethnic minority communities in mountainous areas.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tung reaffirmed the Party, State, and ministry's special attention to Lai Chau, noting that aside from helping with eliminating substandard houses, the ministry has also assisted in improving education infrastructure and living conditions for locals.
