Hanoi, July 25 -- Four additional military flights are expected to deliver essential supplies to flood-isolated communities in the central province of Nghe An on July 25, according to the National Civil Defence Steering Committee.

On July 24, following a directive of the Ministry of National Defence, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army dispatched a working group to the locality to coordinate emergency aid efforts in areas cut off by floodwaters.

The Rescue and Relief Department under the General Staff organised six relief flights on July 24, transporting approximately 18 tonnes of goods to Tuong Duong, Ky Son, My Ly, Nhon Mai, and Con Cuong communes.
