Hanoi, May 7 -- Malaysia is rapidly emerging as a preferred destination for high-value investments in the semiconductor sector, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said at the launch of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) operations and maintenance training programme.
He revealed that global semiconductor giant AMS establish advanced packaging and design operations in Penang, adding that AMS wants to make Malaysia the spot for the advanced industry.
The Malaysian PM's comments come as countries such as Japan, the US, and China are deepening ties in investment, technology, and energy cooperation with the Southeast Asian nation.
